The Carson J Spencer Foundation, Triple Bottom Line, and Johnson and Wales University are proud to recognize this year's social entrepreneur: Tamra Ryan of the Women's Bean Project. Since 1989 the Women's Bean Project has been helping women break the cycle of poverty and unemployment. The Women's Bean Project is a nonprofit organization that teaches job readiness and life skills for entry-level jobs through employment in their gourmet food production business. Through their social enterprise women are transforming their lives and moving toward self sufficiency. At the awards luncheon, Nancy Fell, President and Founder of Triple Bottom Line, will present the award and $250 cash prize to Tamra Ryan. Congratulations to the Women's Bean Project!
