EVENT:

The Carson J Spencer Foundation proudly presents:
“SOMETHING BETWEEN A DREAM AND A MIRACLE”
– A Mental Health Concert of Ideas
Outgrowing
boundaries, looking to new horizons, knowing oneself and who we
can be if we choose, rising from defeat, seeing into the heart,
feeling our way through a long darkness, imagining peace, reaching
into the unknown, choosing to love and live fully – these
are some of the themes of our Mental Health Concert of Ideas. Songs,
stories, poetry and theater; live performance blended with conversation
and audience participation.
The star performers of Creative Leaps International
whose credits span from Carnegie Hall and Broadway to Rome, Paris
and Istanbul, have designed an evening of joyful, thoughtful and
uplifting entertainment “to sooth the savage breast”
and bring us closer to the dreams and miracles we live by. Songs
from the Broadway stage, international masterworks, lively spirituals
and mythical tales – join us for this unique musical experience!
Come join us for the richness of archetypal stories
through which we obtain health and through which we grow.
Music hath charms
to soothe the savage breast,
To soften rocks, or bend a knotted oak.
– William Congreve (The Mourning Bride, 1.1)
What we play is life.
– Louis Armstrong (US jazz musician, scat singer, &
trumpeter)
